Y’all. The reason they’re shooting on such steep hill is because it’s field archery. It’s supposed to mimic archery in the field rather than than the perfect, set up environment.

These are custom compound bows with their own data books for every possible variable. If the temperature changes or they make a change to the sights or arrow length they just have to change some numbers in the formulas to get the new tables for adjustments and holds.
Also, most of these bows have VERY little resistance at full draw so they can wait for most stable sight picture...but the targets are also alot smaller compared to shooting trad bow or barebow.

I mean come on the sport is already biased. Just look at how the targets are set up @ the 3:55-4:00 mark. The playing field is literally uneven asf. The targets look like somebody's kid set them up, Toja's target appears to be a tad further back judging from the sticks that the targets are on, Toja's target is all dang on lop sided and folded up compared to Paige's, & instead of them playing on a plain... It looks like they are shooting at targets on a damn plateau. 🤣😂 So therefore it is very clear that they gave Paige more of a direct approach than they did with Toja. I don't even watch this sport but fair is fair, and this mess was definitely unfair in a very obvious but settled way. Now look @ 6:09. That's a straight for Paige. Now look at Toja's. 🤔😤

it means the arrow landed near a line and the commentators aren’t sure what score the arrow is so they put a star next to the score to signify that value may change once a judge reviews it
